Fiesta time as Latin American magic comes to Dublin
This weekend will see Dublin's 2nd Latin American Festival hit the capital, bringing a slice of colourful Latin American culture, music, food, crafts and entertainment to Dublin from 11th - 21st of August.
"The Dublin Latin American Festival is a wonderful opportunity for anyone living or visiting the capital to experience the exciting cultures of Latin America. It also allows the Latin American residents in Dublin to come together and celebrate their identity while sharing it with the wider community. I would like to congratulate the Latin American community in Dublin and Dublin City Council's Office for Integration for their efforts in presenting a vibrant programme which has many free events for all the family. Bienvenido a la fiesta !" said the Lord Mayor, Andrew Montague.
The festival will bring the colours, smells, sights and sounds of Latin America's eclectic cultures to many venues around the city. Highlights will include salsa, tango flamenco performances and workshops, with a Latin American Market and Craft Fair at the Wood Quay Amphitheatre on Sunday 14th August.
